Aún con la resaca del pasado G.P., volvemos a la sana costumbre del porreo... este próximo fin de semana se dis el rally de Cerdeña, que después de cambio de hace unos años pasando de disrse sobre las retorcidas carreteras de San Remo, pasó a disrse sobre las pistas de Cerdeña

Las especiales son bastante rápidas aún siendo bastante estrechas. Los primeros de cada etapa tendrán que contar con el inconveniente de tener que barrer la capa de polvo que está depositada sobre las especiales.

The stages of the first loop are covered with a thick top coating of loose gravel and there will be a lot of 'sweeping' to do, so I can't forecast how

Day 1 will go. I will try to win but my tactics will depend on the way

things unfold

Gronholm

We're making a few small set-up changes following Rally Argentina. There's nothing major, just a few small tweaks that we hope will make improvements. The time difference between myself and Loeb on the first full day in Argentina was little more than a tenth of a second a kilometre. That's not big, but it's big enough and these days it's not easy to find that kind of time. We're all working hard to close that gap in Sardinia

Hirvonen

One of my targets for this season was to be closer to Marcus and Sébastien Loeb in terms of stage times. In Sweden, Norway and Mexico I achieved that but in Argentina that wasn't the case. Maybe it was because I had less experience of the roads, but I drove too safely. So I want to find more speed and be braver in Sardinia.

Sordo

It's a rally where patience can pay because there are invariably incidents. I think it would be illusory to hope for better than last year. I would love to finish in the top three again but I'm aware that it's doubtlessly a little too soon for me to achieve that. I will try to find the consistency I still lack and I also hope that the ill-luck that has plagued me in recent events will give us a bit of a break

P. Solberg

I really hope we can start to push for a win again in Sardinia. I'm starting to miss the feeling of being on the podium at the end of a rally. My plan is to win again very soon - doing well in rallying is the most important thing in my life - but there are some details that still have to come together. Sardinia is a rally we have won before, and we always have a good feeling on these stages, so maybe this could be a good rally for us. We are on the right track and if we have a good test in Sardinia this weekend I'll be looking forward to making a strong challenge in the rally

H. Solberg

I have a much better feeling with the car after Argentina and I am really looking forward to Sardinia because of this. My driving style is different to the other drivers and I have to set my car up differently to suit this. I was going really well in Sardinia last year and was challenging the top drivers and I hope to do the same this year. The only problem is that most of the Manufacturer Teams have been testing on the island and so have a feeling for the roads there already; I am at a small disadvantage before I start! It is a tough rally but my car is strong and I have more confidence with it now
